Terms of use

These terms apply to the use of viisumit.fi and to ordering Rustravel Oy's visa and legalisation services. By using the site or placing an order you accept these terms.
Service provider
The service is provided by Rustravel Oy, business ID 1743918-3, Tehtaankatu 12, Helsinki. Contact: info@viisumit.fi, +358 40 350 7428.
Nature of the service
Rustravel assists with visa applications and document legalisation: we check your documents, prepare the application and deal with the authority on your behalf. The decision to grant a visa or accept a legalisation is always made by the destination country's authority, not by Rustravel. A refusal is not a defect in the service.
Service fee and authority fees
The price has two parts: Rustravel's service fee and the fees charged by the authority, such as a consular fee or an apostille fee. Authority fees are set by the authority and can change without notice. We itemise both parts when you order. The authority does not refund its fees even if the decision is negative.
Distance selling and the 14-day right of withdrawal
When a service is ordered at a distance, a consumer has the right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 6) to withdraw from the order within 14 days of concluding the contract, without giving a reason. Notice of withdrawal can be given by email to info@viisumit.fi or by phone. Visa and document services are time-critical, so when placing an order the customer expressly requests that processing begin immediately, before the end of the withdrawal period. Once processing has started at the customer's request, the customer remains responsible for the work already performed, the service fees, and any official and third-party fees already paid or committed. Once the service has been fully performed with the customer's express prior consent, the right of withdrawal ends. If an order is cancelled before processing has started, the payment is refunded in full.
Non-refundable fees
Official, consular, visa centre, and other third-party fees are non-refundable once they have been paid, incurred, or committed. These fees cover the administration and handling of the application by the relevant bodies and are not returned if the application is withdrawn, refused, or processed differently than requested. Such fees include, among others, embassy and consulate fees, visa centre service fees, official registration and application system fees, courier and transport charges, travel insurance premiums, and translation, notarisation, and legalisation costs.
Visa refusal
If a visa application is refused by the authorities, the customer is not entitled to a refund of Rustravel's service fee or any official, consular, visa centre, insurance, courier, or other third-party fees already paid or committed. A refusal does not constitute a failure by Rustravel to provide the ordered visa service. This does not limit the customer's statutory rights in cases where Rustravel has provided the service defectively or in breach of the contract.
Visa issued for a shorter period than requested
If an application is submitted for a long-term or multiple-entry visa, but the authority issues a visa for a shorter duration or single entry, no price difference is refunded. The price covers the application preparation and processing service ordered, not a guaranteed visa outcome. Authorities do not adjust or refund fees based on the final decision.
Statutory consumer rights
These terms do not limit the consumer's rights under mandatory consumer protection legislation. They do not limit the customer's rights in situations where Rustravel has made a material processing error or acted with gross negligence, the ordered service has not been performed at all, or the cancellation is made before processing has started.
Processing times
Processing times shown on the site are indicative. The authority's processing time is not under Rustravel's control and can grow without notice, for example due to congestion or requests for additional information.
Your responsibility for the details
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give and the documents you provide. Incorrect or incomplete details can delay the application or lead to a refusal. We check every application carefully, but we cannot spot an error in a detail only you can know.
Contact form
The contact form is meant for enquiries. Do not send sensitive documents through the form. Submitting the form does not create a binding contract.
Nature of the content
The site content is general information about visa and legalisation services. Prices and processing times are indicative and can change. We confirm the exact details when you place an order.
Limitation of liability
We aim to keep the information up to date, but we are not liable for errors in the content or for indirect damages arising from the use of the site. Authority requirements can change.
Intellectual property
The site content, logos and materials are the property of Rustravel Oy or its partners. Copying the content without permission is prohibited.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are primarily resolved through negotiation; other disputes are settled by the Helsinki District Court.
