Thailand retirement visa (O-A), handled

The O-A visa opens a long stay in Thailand for over-50s, but its paperwork is the heaviest of its kind. You obtain the certificates (medical certificate, criminal record extract, financial and insurance statements), we advise, check the set, fill in the e-Visa application and track processing. Any required legalisations we arrange as a separate service.

Who it's for

Who does the O-A suit and what does it require?

The O-A is meant for people aged 50 or over who want to spend a long period in Thailand without working, typically winter residents and retirees. Because it grants a long right of stay, the requirements are stricter than a tourist visa's: proof of finances (savings or monthly income), valid health insurance, a criminal record extract and a medical certificate. Some documents must additionally be legalised before Thai authorities accept them, exactly where many do-it-yourself applications stumble. With us, the visa and the legalisations are handled under one roof.

Document check

Your personal document list, check for €50

The document requirements for the Non-Immigrant O-A visa depend on the applicant's personal situation, financial statements, insurance, and whether documents need certification or legalisation. This page gives only an overview of the document groups involved. Your final personal document list is prepared after Rustravel's review.

The detailed document check costs €50 incl. VAT and is completed within one working day. If you then order the full O-A visa service from Rustravel, the €50 is credited against the service fee.
